Miss Shelby obviously feels better! So while we don't know if the treatments are improving her protein absorption abilities, they are at least improving how she seems to feel. She was so cute last night, begging for a belly rub and then sleeping on my pillow later. Hope you enjoy the pictures of this adorable little Dalmatian!

Well, Miss Shelby does indeed have Lymphangiectasia. We can only hope the treatments keep this in remission because if they don't, it is fatal. If you are of the praying kind, please pray for us! I didn't make beads today - my heart was just too heavy with the news. However, I did move some of the beads from the website to eBay, so happy bidding to all.

Shelby regained her appetite today! I noticed a bigger improvement between yesterday and today than I think time alone can account for. I really think the laser treatment helped! We have another tomorrow so I am hoping for more noticeable improvements. We may also have biopsy results tomorrow but I am not counting on them until Friday. In the meantime, I was able to make beads today - first time since the day of her surgery. It was a productive day and I enjoyed making these heart sets.

Well, little Shelby is having exploratory surgery today. Hopefully we will know what is wrong and it will be treatable. Here are some pictures to show you just how sweet she is. Everyone always comments on how sweet and friendly and huggable she is, especially for a Dalmatian. Dalmatians tend to be high strung and Shelby isn't at all. She is just a doll! In fact, they had named her Dolly at the animal control shelter in Salt Lake City where I got her. We are going to have some huge vet bills to pay off now. I am going to be making some dog bone beads and some paw print beads to sell and will also put a sale on everything in my Etsy shop in the near future to help generate some cash to help with the bills.

I made a couple of bangle bracelets today. I needed something to do while Shelby was at the vet getting x-rays and ultrasound and torching was out of the question. She stopped eating her food last weekend (until we bribed her with canned for the first time ever) and had belly pain and very strange blood work. Her white blood cell count was more than double the normal amount, BUN was high, proteins were low and her red blood cell count was low. Our vet was thinking it could be pancreatitis or internal hemorrhage. Nothing showed up with all the tests today but she spent the day with IV drip and antibiotics so seems to be feeling better. He is getting the blood reworked and if it is consistent with yesterday's results, he is going to talk to a vet internal specialist. Anyway, I am very worried about the little girl. On a bright note, here are pictures of the two bangles for your viewing pleasure! The copper/sterling version is made with borosillicate beads and the all sterling version is made with soda lime beads.

Happy New Year everyone! Well, I have finally carved out some time for beadmaking again and here are some of my latest efforts. Lately, I have been having fun making hearts, playing with boro and some new presses! I have more new presses coming from Cattwalk this week - I can't wait until they get here! New presses keep me from getting bored with my bead shapes, although the off-mandrel hearts I make are my favorites and couldn't ever get boring. The first picture is of a boro bead set. Next is a set with a one of my recent press purchases followed by some hearts. The last picture is our backyard right after one of those wonderful snowfalls with the huge, fluffly snowflakes. It was so pretty!
